Assisted Hearing Devices

Child Care

Arrangements have been made for onsite crèche facilities staffed by professional childcare providers. Spaces will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Look out for more details when you register for the Congress. This program is recommended for children aged 3-6 years. [back to top]

Dress Code

The dress code throughout the Congress is neat casual.  The dress code for each function is indicated in the function description on the Social Program page. [back to top]


Unauthorised photography, audio taping, video recording, digital taping or any other form of duplication is strictly prohibited in Congress sessions. [back to top]


The electrical supply is 240 volts, 50Hz. The connection for appliances is a flat 3-pin plug of unique design. Most hotels provide 110 volt outlets for shavers. [back to top]

The free City Connector bus is an easy way of navigating around Adelaide, look out for bus 98C or 98A. Adelaide is great to tour by bike as well. The ACC is a designated pick-up and drop-off point for Adelaide Free Bikes – an initiative run by the Adelaide City Council. All you need is a valid driver’s licence, passport or Australian proof of age card! [back to top]

GST Information

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a broad-based ten percent tax included in the shelf price of most Australian goods and services. The Tourist Refund Scheme allows international travellers to claim a GST refund (subject to certain conditions) on goods purchased in Australia. The refund only applies to items worn or goods taken on board as hand luggage when leaving the country.

Immigration Information

Travellers to Australia need a valid passport or similar certificate of identification. Everyone, except travellers with Australian and New Zealand passports, requires a visa. You may ask your travel agent for advice or to have them organise your visa.

The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Participants are advised to take out personal insurance, including cover for travel, accommodation and personal possessions. Neither the Australian Society of Anaesthetists nor International Conferences & Events (ICE) Pty Ltd covers individuals against the cancellations of bookings for any reason including cancellation or postponement of the Congress or for theft or damage to belongings. [back to top]


In the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters, the Australian Society of Anaesthetists and International Conferences & Events (ICE) Pty Ltd cannot accept responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by the delegates.

Name Badges and Lanyards

Name badges will be issued when registering at the Congress.  For security purposes the Congress name badge must be worn at all times during the Congress and social functions.  Entry may be denied if no name badge is displayed. [back to top]


While attending the Congress you may be photographed. By registering for the Congress you agree to these photographs being used for promotional purposes. [back to top]

Privacy Policy

International Conferences & Events complies with all legislation designed to protect the rights of the individual to privacy of their information, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Information collected with respect to your registration for participation in this meeting will only be used for the purposes of planning, conduct of the event or communication regarding future events. These details may be made available to parties directly related to the Congress, including (but not limited to) International Conferences & Events, venues, accommodation and travel providers (for the purposes of room/travel bookings and conference options), key sponsors (subject to strict conditions) and other related parties as deemed necessary.

It is also usual practice to produce a ‘Delegate List’ of attendees at the Congress and to include the individual’s details in such a list. By completing the registration form, you acknowledge that the details supplied by you may be used for the above purposes. It is your responsibility to ensure that all information provided to International Conference & Events is accurate and kept up to date.
