David McLeod is an anaesthetist at Flinders Medical Centre and in private practice in Adelaide. He has 30 years experience in regional anaesthesia, having also worked in England, Scotland, Sweden and Canada. He has a particular clinical focus on lower limb neural blockade for joint arthroplasty, shoulder surgery and orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery. He is an executive foundation member of the Regional Anaesthesia Special Interest Group and an active member of OSSAA (Overseas Specialist Surgical Association of Australia) that provides surgical aid to East Timor and Eastern Indonesia. When not at work he has fun swimming, cycling and running, and competes in long course triathlons.
