Dr Cardone is a Cardiothoracic Anaesthetist working at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and in Private Practice throughout Adelaide. He has broad international experience working in the USA and UK, completing a Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia, Transplant, and Perioperative Transoesophageal Echocardiography, at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, UK (2008 – 2009). He later worked as an Attending Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist at the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Centre, Ann Arbor, USA (2013 – 2014), providing anaesthesia and echocardiography for complex cardiac surgery, thoracic and oesophageal surgery. Dr Cardones research interests and publications focus on Patient Blood Management, Blood Conservation and Coagulation in Cardiac Surgery. Outside of medicine, he is kept busy by his family and running to keep fit.
